Music students on Eldborg Stage

Over 1500 children sang songs by Bragi Valdimar Skúlason at the opening of the Children’s Culture Festival at Harpa. On Monday, a combined orchestra from the Reykjavik Music School, the Reykjavik Academy of Music, and Allegro Suzuki Music School played with kindergarten children who had visited the Reykjavik Music School and the Reykjavik Academy of Music. Arnar Gabríel Alexson, a piano student at the Reykjavík Music School, premiered a piece of his own, “Reverie – homage to Rachmaninoff.” The Reykjavík Singing School showcased a performance from the musical Oliver.

Parents and guardians of the children watched the performance and clapped enthusiastically for the children, who performed with great distinction. Thank you for a fantastic concert and collaboration, everyone!
